Emperor’s Birthday

Today is December 23rd, and it was a Emperor’s Birthday in Heisei Era. This May 1st, Era was changed from Heisei to Reiwa. I mean today is not holiday in Japan yet.

Buy the way, I visited Sakamoto-Hachimangu shrine where a place related to Reiwa era. The era name was come from a part of old Japanese poem.
